About the position
The Sr. Accountant position at Robert Half is a short-term contract role focused on supporting the financial operations within the plastics manufacturing industry. The primary responsibilities include assisting with complex financial entries, managing the month-end close process, and ensuring accurate financial reporting and reconciliations.
Responsibilities
- Assist the team with complex financial entries and provide support as needed.
- Take on the responsibility of assisting with the month-end close process, including journal entries related to inventory and overhead absorption.
- Calculate manufacturing variance and compare overhead spending to the budget.
- Carry out month-end close procedures meticulously.
- Fill in for the Sr. Cost Accountant, handling some variance reports that need to be completed.
- Use NetSuite ERP for managing and recording financial transactions.
- Execute account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.
- Maintain the general ledger and make necessary journal entries.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial data analysis and reporting.
Requirements
- Must possess strong skills in Account Reconciliation
- Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required
- Experience with Bank Reconciliations is essential
- Comprehensive knowledge of General Ledger management is necessary
- Ability to handle Journal Entries accurately and efficiently
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must
- Experience in executing Month End Close procedures is mandatory
- Familiarity with NetSuite software will be a significant advantage
