About the position

The Sr. Accountant position at Robert Half involves managing accounting tasks for a Real Estate Investment Firm in a fully remote capacity. The role focuses on financial statement preparation, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring accurate record-keeping and bank reconciliations. The accountant will also contribute to financial reporting and analytic projects, supporting the development of property budgets and investor reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting month-end close procedures
  • Generating and maintaining journal entries
  • Overseeing the consolidation of multiple entities
  • Managing Accounts Payable, including invoice approval and issuing checks
  • Handling Accounts Receivable, encompassing invoice creation and deposit posting
  • Performing bank reconciliations to ensure accurate records
  • Preparing financial reports and conducting variance analysis
  • Participating in analytic projects to monitor and analyze financial performance
  • Assisting in the development of property budgets, business plans, and quarterly re-forecasts
  • Contributing to investor reporting preparations
  • Utilizing real estate/property management accounting software such as RealPage.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Account Reconciliation
  • Experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation
  • Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations
  • Strong understanding of General Ledger
  • Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with Month End Close processes
  • BS in Accounting or related field is required.
