About the position

The Sr. Accountant position at Robert Half involves managing customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving inquiries within the Hi Tech Engineering industry. The role requires overseeing customer accounts and performing various accounting tasks to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Oversee and review all fixed and intangible assets.
  • Reconcile general ledgers and assist in the preparation of financial statements.
  • Conduct bank account reconciliations and perform month-end closing activities.
  • Manage intercompany accounts and post eliminating journal entries.
  • Handle daily operations including invoicing, receipts, and updates by managing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable clerks.
  • Monitor collection activities and assist with performing all collection duties.
  • Maintain and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and deferred revenue.
  • Oversee inventory, work in process, and percent of completion accounting.
  • Perform accruals, pre-paid, and revenue recognition analysis.
  • Assist with departmental questions regarding accounts and budgets.
  • Prepare schedules for year-end audit performed by independent external auditors and research issues, clarify information, and prepare supporting data.
  • Act as a key accounting liaison to company operational departments and provide technical assistance and advice to accounting staff to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in a similar role or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting GL System
  • Demonstrable experience with Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with General Ledger and Journal Entries
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all work
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of current financial regulations and standards
  • Experience in the Hi Tech Engineering industry is a plus.
