About the position

The Sr. Accountant position at Robert Half involves a variety of accounting functions, primarily focusing on managing costing and budget reconciliations for real estate development projects, lease accounting, and supporting daily banking and treasury activities. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting and is open to candidates with public audit experience or those with 2-3 years of practical accounting experience. Responsibilities

  • Managing all costing and budget-to-actual reconciliations for real estate development projects.
  • Handling all ASC 842 lease accounting and reporting.
  • Reviewing and processing monthly journal entries.
  • Preparing and reviewing account reconciliations.
  • Understanding and analyzing business systems and processes.
  • Supporting department initiatives to drive business process and system improvements.
  • Assisting in daily banking and treasury activities.
  • Supporting various department process improvement initiatives as needed.
  • Utilizing Microsoft Excel and other software for efficient data management and reporting.
  • Conducting annual budgeting and operating budget reviews.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in General Ledger management and Journal Entries.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for accounting tasks and data analysis.
  • Experience with Month End Close procedure is essential.
  • Ability to prepare Annual Budget and Annual Operating Budget.
  • Relevant experience working in the Transport industry would be advantageous.
  • Must possess a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
