The Sr. Accountant position at the Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce involves managing financial oversight and reporting, ensuring accurate transaction and asset management, and supporting personnel and event administration. Responsibilities

• Manage all financial recording and reporting, including budgeting and updates to the Board.
• Prepare and present financial reports, conduct budgeting workshops, and handle tax forms and audits.
• Monitor daily assets and transactions, ensuring timely invoice payments and managing petty cash.
• Perform bank reconciliations and oversee asset management.
• Maintain employee records, oversee payroll and benefits, and assist with event registrations.
• Track membership dues and event revenue.
• Oversee IT services and upgrades, attend staff meetings and chamber events, and handle other assigned responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA) in accounting, or related field or equivalent experience in accounting.
• 3+ years of accounting experience required.
• Experience in QuickBooks required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
