About the position
We are seeking a part-time Sr. Accountant to manage the month-end close process, resolve general ledger discrepancies, and conduct account reconciliations. This role is a short-term contract opportunity within the Consulting Services industry, offering up to 30 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations
- Manage the payroll and benefit allocation journal entry
- Oversee the month-end close process
- Investigate and resolve any general ledger discrepancies
- Review job costing and department dimension
- Prepare consolidated financial statements
- Determine mid-month and end-of-month cash requirements
- Fulfill various tax filings and other items
- Manage contract assets and liabilities
- Utilize advanced Excel and Salesforce for various tasks.
Requirements
- Demonstrated proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.
- Extensive experience with General Ledger management, including Journal Entries.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced features and functionalities.
- Experience with Month End Close processes and best practices.
- Knowledge and experience in Salesforce Administration.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines and delivering accurate results.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role or in the field of accounting.
