About the position
This position within Corporate Accounting at Tyson Foods is responsible for supporting the preparation of global consolidated financial statements and related information. The role involves various consolidation tasks, including journal entries, bank account reconciliations, variance analyses, and financial schedules. Additionally, the position supports the company's Finance Transformation efforts, process improvements, and cross-functional projects, while collaborating with internal and external auditors and various corporate functions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and bank account reconciliations.
- Conduct variance analyses and prepare financial schedules.
- Support the company's Finance Transformation efforts and process improvements.
- Ensure process documentation is maintained.
- Work on cross-functional projects with various corporate functions.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 3 plus years of related experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of SAP preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint required.
- Strong written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with a diverse team.
- Detail-oriented and self-starter with the ability to work independently or in teams.
- Problem-solving skills and accounting knowledge preferred.
