This role requires a proactive approach to overseeing financial reporting, month-end close processes, and ensuring adherence to corporate policies. The Senior Accounting Manager will collaborate closely with operations and other teams, fostering a cooperative work environment while driving the financial integrity of the organization. In this role, the Senior Accounting Manager will be responsible for a variety of tasks including overseeing fixed assets, inventory management, revenue recognition, and lease accounting. The position demands a thorough understanding of ASC 606 and ASC 842 standards, as well as the ability to conduct balance sheet and income statement analyses. The successful candidate will also manage internal labor capitalization, capital improvement projects (CIP), and inventory, ensuring accurate GL reconciliations, rollforwards, and variance analyses. Additionally, the Senior Accounting Manager will support financial reporting and technical accounting needs, assist with system upgrades and process improvements, and contribute to the financial statement audit process. Responsibilities

  • Ensure accounting compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and corporate policies
  • Oversee fixed assets, inventory, revenue, leases, and financial reporting
  • Oversee assigned sections of month-end close
  • Manage internal labor capitalization, CIP, and inventory
  • Perform GL reconciliations, rollforwards, and variance analysis
  • Conduct balance sheet and income statement analysis
  • Manage month-end accruals and journal entries
  • Support financial reporting and technical accounting when needed
  • Assist with system upgrades, implementations, and process improvements
  • Support the financial statement audit
  • Handle ad hoc projects and reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • 15-20+ years of accounting experience (audit background preferred)
  • Must have public company experience
  • Must have experience in inventory and fixed assets
  • Must have experience as a Manager and supervising others
  • CPA highly preferred
