About the position

The Senior Accounting Manager will oversee the full-cycle accounting processes within a financial services company. This role is crucial for managing financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and leading the accounting team to ensure best practices are followed. The position involves collaboration with various departments to support financial goals and strategies, as well as managing audits and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle accounting including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Coordinate audits and collaborate with external auditors.
• Implement and maintain internal controls and processes.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, guiding best practices.
• Manage cash flow, expense reports, and financial planning initiatives.
• Collaborate with other departments to support financial goals and strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• Over 5 years of accounting experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
