About the position

The Senior Accounting Manager will oversee the full-cycle accounting processes within a financial services company. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, managing financial reporting, and leading the accounting team to achieve financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle accounting including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Coordinate audits and collaborate with external auditors.
• Implement and maintain internal controls and processes.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, guiding best practices.
• Manage cash flow, expense reports, and financial planning initiatives.
• Collaborate with other departments to support financial goals and strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• Over 5 years of accounting experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
