About the position

Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC) is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to join our dynamic Finance team. This role is pivotal in directing and coordinating the financial activities at a corporate level, ensuring the integrity of the general ledger, managing business and system controls, and overseeing accounting for mergers, acquisitions, and new contracts. The Senior Accounting Manager will also be responsible for technical accounting and process automation, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our financial operations. In this position, you will manage month-end close activities, perform account analysis, and set up new accounts. You will oversee the year-end audit process and prepare financial and statistical reports as required. Additionally, you will establish and maintain relationships with individual or business customers, assisting them with any problems they may encounter. Your role will also involve overseeing the flow of cash and financial instruments, recruiting staff members, and managing training programs. You will be tasked with preparing financial or regulatory reports required by laws, regulations, or boards of directors, establishing procedures to manage system and business controls, and preparing technical accounting memos. Furthermore, you will play a key role in automating business processes and implementing new system technologies, ensuring that RNDC remains at the forefront of the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Manage month-end close activities and perform account analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent.
  • Eight to ten years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three to four years of management experience.
  • CPA required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the wine and spirits industry.
  • Familiarity with mergers and acquisitions accounting.
