About the position

PCORP is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sr. Accounting Manager to join our finance team in the Louisville, Kentucky area. This position is crucial for overseeing all financial and accounting activities of PCORP and its affiliated companies, ensuring that all operations are conducted with accuracy and in compliance with regulatory requirements. The Sr. Accounting Manager will play a key role in managing the day-to-day accounting operations, which include Billing, Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), General Ledger (GL), Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. In this role, the Sr. Accounting Manager will coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances to ensure that the organization remains on track financially. The position also involves preparing and publishing monthly financial reports, utilizing visual aids such as charts, tables, and graphs to enhance the dissemination of financial information across the organization. Additionally, the Sr. Accounting Manager will coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting and research technical accounting issues to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The successful candidate will monitor all aspects of credit, including leasing contracts, consumer loans, and credit cards, and will support the month-end and year-end close processes. Quality control over financial transactions and reporting is paramount, and the Sr. Accounting Manager will work closely with the fractional CFO to manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. Furthermore, the role includes developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls, as well as supervising and managing the finance department staff.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Degree in accounting.
  • 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience creating financial statements and with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong leadership, organization, interpersonal, and communication skills.
