About the position

The Sr. Acquisition Manager at Alpha Omega plays a pivotal role in supporting a cross-functional agile development team within a fast-paced environment. This position requires a U.S. Citizen with a DHS Public Trust clearance, preferably at the Secret level or above. The role is hybrid, based in Arlington, VA, with remote work options available as requested by the client. The Acquisition Manager will serve as the lead point of contact for all procurement actions related to the program, managing these actions from cradle to grave. This includes reviewing prior procurement requirements, updating current fiscal year requirements, and maintaining the Procurement Tracker and Contract Data List. The responsibilities extend to creating and tracking procurement packages, which involves developing checklists, updating market research estimates, and drafting required contract language. The Acquisition Manager will also notify the Finance Manager of any changes to funding needs and maintain procurement/logistics databases. The role demands a highly organized individual who can pivot and adjust their approach to meet evolving requirements while ensuring excellent customer service and attention to detail. The ability to work effectively in a team environment and utilize various technologies, including Microsoft Teams and Office Suite, is essential. In addition to managing procurement actions, the Acquisition Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining both ad-hoc and canned reports, drafting artifacts based on existing templates, and updating those templates as necessary. This position requires a proactive approach, with the ability to use forward-planning techniques to evaluate proposed changes and their impacts on procurement processes.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as lead POC for all Procurement Actions for the Program
  • Manage all Procurement Actions from Cradle to Grave
  • Review prior procurement requirements
  • Review and update current fiscal year requirements
  • Update Procurement Tracker
  • Update Contract Data List
  • Create and track Procurement Packages
  • Create and update Procurement Package Checklist
  • Update MRR, LSJ, Acq Pln, IGCE
  • Request updated Market Research Estimates
  • Create a Market Research Estimate Summary
  • Draft Required Contract Language Checklist, Data Rights, Privacy Checklist, Appendix G, etc
  • Notify Finance Manager of any changes to funding needs
  • Create and update Contract Administration Folders
  • Work with Database and Automation Engineer to update any relational database tables
  • Develop and maintain Adhoc and canned reports
  • Maintain Procurement/Logistics Databases
  • Draft artifacts based on existing templates
  • Update templates as needed

Requirements

  • 5 years in-depth experience managing and maintaining processes and procedures
  • Highly organized with a thoughtful, methodical approach
  • Ability to pivot and adjust their approach to meet evolving requirements
  • Must be able to successfully complete the DHS security and suitability background check
  • Ability to operate effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work remotely and utilize Microsoft Teams, Office Suite, and other emerging technologies
  • Must be proactive and able to use forward-planning utilizing 'what if' simulations to evaluate proposed changes
  • Excellent customer service and attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
