About the position

The Sr. Acquisition Program Management Analyst at Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) plays a crucial role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Customs and Border Protection (CBP) by developing acquisition policies and overseeing governance on all CBP Acquisition Programs. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and program management skills to ensure effective execution of acquisition processes and to provide high-quality analytical support to senior leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Support CBP Component Acquisition Executive staff in developing acquisition policy.
  • Conduct oversight and governance on all CBP Acquisition Programs.
  • Review acquisition documents and plans, providing analysis on program execution.
  • Assist Government personnel with preparing correspondence and briefings for senior leaders.
  • Track actions related to acquisition programs and governance.
  • Develop, implement, manage, and improve performance metrics around acquisition governance and policy.
  • Support acquisition analysis, strategic planning, and administrative or technical support as assigned.
  • Manage and facilitate Requests for Information from Congress and audits from the Government Accountability Office (GAO).

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and retain a CBP Background Investigation.
  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience in program management and acquisition management.
  • Knowledge of DHS Management Directive 102-01, DoD 5000, and Federal Acquisition Institute guidelines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
