About the position

The Sr Actuarial Analyst role at Molina Healthcare is focused on establishing premium rates and conducting financial analysis and reporting. This position supports the Molina Marketplace ACA individual pricing process by developing rates, creating regulatory filing documents, and addressing regulatory objections. The analyst will lead multiple projects of varying scale and complexity with limited direct supervision, utilizing their expertise in actuarial functions.

Responsibilities

• Establish premium rates and conduct financial analysis and reporting.
• Support the Molina Marketplace ACA individual pricing process by developing rates and creating regulatory filing documents.
• Address regulatory objections related to pricing.
• Lead analytical projects from beginning to end with limited direct supervision.
• Analyze data and assist in designing studies to generate recommendations with supporting documentation.
• Monitor medical cost trends and identify early signs of potential issues.
• Implement high-level tactics and strategies with limited guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in actuarial analysis.
• Must have passed at least 3 actuarial exams.

Nice-to-haves

• 5-6 years of relevant experience in actuarial analysis.
• ASA or near ASA certification.
