About the position

The ADAS Senior Test Engineer plays a crucial role in coordinating and executing testing and development tasks essential for achieving departmental and organizational goals. This position involves collaboration with teams in Japan, international engineering teams, and external partners to ensure the successful integration of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) software technologies, meeting high-quality standards and exceeding customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development of the Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) Lateral Control software functions and tuning vehicle control systems.
  • Develop functional software requirements related to CAN interface, Self-Diagnostic, and Failsafe Detection for vehicle development.
  • Perform project management activities, overseeing the testing of related vehicle systems and negotiating hardware and software interfaces.
  • Instrument and troubleshoot vehicles for testing, analyze test data, recommend solutions for test failures, and determine root causes.
  • Manage development projects and schedules, coordinate with departments and suppliers, and research new technologies and market trends.
  • Create and present technical documents and reports, including comprehensive root cause analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Controls Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in vehicle dynamics and steering control functions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of requirements management, function validation, diagnostics, and CAN structures.
  • Hands-on mechanical ability and understanding of vehicle systems.
  • Analytical skills to prepare prototype vehicles for testing and troubleshoot system issues.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with data acquisition systems and Vector CAN tools.
  • Strong presentation skills.
