About the position

The position involves engineering and operating large-scale cloud computing infrastructure at AWS Utility Computing (UC). The role focuses on developing and managing various services including Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, and Productivity Apps, with a particular emphasis on supporting government customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in integration, Agile methodologies, and DevOps, and will be responsible for troubleshooting, automating operational issues, and enhancing the efficiency of government services.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, and Productivity Apps services in AWS.
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues related to cloud services.
• Design and build operational scalability to support platform growth.
• Automate operational processes to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with top engineers to innovate and implement new solutions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of Linux experience.
• 10+ years of systems engineering experience.
• 10+ years of systems management/administration automation experience.
• 5+ years of experience with Agile methods and processes.
• Strong debugging and systems analysis skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills across application, network, and host levels.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
