About the position
The position involves engineering and operating large-scale cloud computing infrastructure at AWS Utility Computing (UC). The role focuses on developing and managing various services including Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, and Productivity Apps, with a particular emphasis on supporting government customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in integration, Agile methodologies, and DevOps, and will be responsible for troubleshooting, automating operational issues, and enhancing the efficiency of government services.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, and Productivity Apps services in AWS.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues related to cloud services.
- Investigate metrics and trends to ensure optimal service performance.
- Collaborate with top engineers to innovate and automate operational processes.
- Design and build operational scalability to support platform growth.
Requirements
- 10+ years of Linux experience
- 10+ years of systems engineering experience
- 10+ years of systems management/administration automation experience
- 5+ years of Agile methods and processes experience
- Strong debugging and systems analysis skills
- Excellent troubleshooting skills across application, network, and host levels
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
