About the position
The Sr. Advisor, Data Governance & Validation at The Cigna Group is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, quality, and integrity of data within the Forsyth organization. This role involves providing guidance based on extensive experience in data governance and validation, playing a key role in decision-making, problem-solving, and strategic planning.
Responsibilities
- Define guidelines for data accuracy, completeness, consistency and format across all data sources.
- Implement procedures to actively detect and clean inconsistencies, duplicates, missing values and other data quality problems.
- Develop and enforce policies related to data access, usage and retention.
- Continuously monitor data quality metrics and generate reports and visualizations to identify issues and track improvements.
- Document data lineage, tracking the origin and movement of data throughout the organization.
- Educate Forsyth data users on data governance policies, data quality expectations and best practices for handling data.
Requirements
- 8+ years of healthcare experience in data governance, data validation or similar role.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Proficiency in data management tools and platforms: SQL or Python and Databricks.
- Ability to identify and prioritize opportunities for impact, develop analytic solutions and leverage technology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
