About the position
The Senior Advisor for Data Governance & Validation at Forsyth Health is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, quality, and integrity of data within the organization. This role involves providing guidance based on extensive experience, playing a key role in decision-making, problem-solving, and strategic planning related to data governance.
Responsibilities
- Define guidelines for data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and format across all data sources.
- Implement procedures to detect and clean inconsistencies, duplicates, missing values, and other data quality problems.
- Develop and enforce policies related to data access, usage, and retention.
- Continuously monitor data quality metrics and generate reports and visualizations to identify issues and track improvements.
- Document data lineage to understand the origin and movement of data throughout the organization.
- Educate data users on data governance policies, data quality expectations, and best practices.
Requirements
- 8+ years of healthcare experience in data governance, data validation, or a similar role.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Proficiency in data management tools and platforms such as SQL or Python and Databricks.
- Ability to identify and prioritize opportunities for impact and develop analytic solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
