About the position

The Sr. Analyst position at SC Johnson is responsible for managing a portfolio of US customers, primarily in the Western region. This role involves performing credit and financial analyses, establishing credit limits, and collaborating with various cross-functional teams to ensure an efficient order-to-cash process. The position requires strong technical skills, knowledge of financial statements, and the ability to resolve issues effectively. The role reports to the NA Manager, AR/Credit & Collections and is part of a dedicated team focused on collections and credit management.

Responsibilities

  • Perform credit and financial analyses on customers within portfolio.
  • Lead financial meetings with customers to complete a risk assessment.
  • Develop direct customer contacts and knowledge of customer operations to establish risk category credit limits and release orders for assigned accounts.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the legal aspects of credit management, collections, cash flow management, and bankruptcy laws.
  • Understand the order-to-cash cycle.
  • Perform root cause analysis on issues and participate actively in their resolution.
  • Participate in trade credit groups throughout the year.
  • Develop relationships with peers in the industry for information exchange on common customers.
  • Provide escalation collection assistance to NA Credit & Collection Sr. Specialist/Specialist.
  • Engage in special projects as directed by the NA Credit & Collection Manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in an Accounts Receivable or Credit role.
  • BS/BA in Finance/Accounting required.
  • Proven success in deciphering financial statements and identifying issues affecting a customer's ability to pay invoices.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice-to-haves

  • Able to build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with SAP A/R and Credit Management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong analytical capabilities in Excel.
  • Results-focused with a record of issue identification and ability to influence and deliver results.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver on multiple deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt styles across organizational levels.
  • Experience in script writing, RPA, and other automation tools is a plus.
