About the position

As a Senior Analyst in Product Development at Travelers, you will play a vital role in achieving the company's financial objectives by developing, implementing, and monitoring product strategies for insurance products. This position involves analyzing market opportunities, enhancing existing products, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure compliance and successful product launches.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and enhance existing product strategies by collaborating with business unit stakeholders.
  • Conduct market, competitor, and consumer research analysis to identify new product opportunities.
  • Identify potential opportunities through root cause analysis and propose solutions.
  • Assist in developing and implementing system and process solutions that align with product strategy.
  • Execute product enhancement work including launch and rollout plans.
  • Ensure strategies address compliance needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform analysis using data to update recommendations on products.
  • Partner with data analytic teams to support recommendations when appropriate.
  • Develop communication, training, and marketing materials for new or enhanced products.
  • Support post-implementation monitoring and measurement mechanisms for product strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Three years of product development experience, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • General knowledge of underwriting, coverage, rules, compliance/regulatory environment, and insurance financials.
  • Ability to think strategically and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret trends and provide insights.
  • Excellent communication skills for consulting and presenting information effectively.
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams.
  • Strong innovation skills and critical thinking about problem-solving.
