About the position

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a Senior Analyst Applications (QA) to join our Testing as a Service (TaaS) team in Springdale, Arkansas. The IT team is at the forefront of this transformation, developing cutting-edge technologies that enhance operations across our offices, plants, and farms. The TaaS team plays a crucial role in validating and verifying applications through functional, automation, and performance testing, ensuring the successful delivery of digital transformation solutions utilizing cloud-based technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for collaborating with various IT and business units globally, including Development, Project Management, and Analytics. You will participate in requirement grooming sessions, design and execute test cases, and leverage test automation to optimize testing cycles. Your ability to communicate effectively with team members, managers, and stakeholders will be essential for the successful completion of projects. You will also be tasked with reporting status updates, identifying risks, and working with leadership to mitigate those risks while enhancing client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a technologist mindset, demonstrating high initiative and integrity, along with a strong commitment to customer service. You will need to have a solid understanding of quality engineering/testing concepts and processes, and the ability to work independently with minimal guidance. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, managers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.
  • Participate in requirement grooming sessions and design and execute test cases.
  • Leverage test automation to optimize testing cycles.
  • Utilize defect and test management tools effectively.
  • Report status, identify risks, and work with leadership on mitigation strategies to enhance client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Management, or a related discipline (equivalent experience may be acceptable).
  • 11-13 years of experience in Information Systems/technology.
  • Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Experience working with both waterfall and agile methodologies.
  • Ability to self-learn and report risks/challenges in a timely manner.
  • Test automation experience on industry frameworks/tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in functional testing, testing methodology, and automation/performance/data testing.
  • Experience with test management tools like ALM.
  • Familiarity with automation tools (TOSCA or open source) or data testing tools (Query Surge, TOSCA DI) for Test automation in Data Migrations and ETL Testing.
  • Proven data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong self-driven collaborator with the ability to work in diverse teams.
