About the position

The Sr. Analyst, Business (Payment Integrity) role at Molina Healthcare involves analyzing complex business problems using data from various sources to provide insights for decision-making. The position focuses on identifying trends, constructing forecasts, and creating strategic plans based on business data. The analyst will collaborate with clients to tailor analyses and reports to meet specific needs, participate in management reviews, and present findings. This role requires a strong understanding of business processes and the ability to work with multiple types of business data, both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources.
  • Identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets to provide insights.
  • Construct forecasts, recommendations, and strategic/tactical plans based on business data.
  • Create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs.
  • Collaborate with clients to modify or tailor existing analysis or reports.
  • Participate in management reviews, presenting and interpreting analysis results.
  • Analyze data and process flows to identify trends and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Create and update Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Report Requirements Documents (RRDs).
  • Conduct System and User Testing (QA and UAT) and perform data fixes.
  • Collaborate with various departments to meet specific business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5-7 years of business analysis experience.
  • 6+ years of managed care experience.
  • Proficiency in a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures applicable to job-related subject areas.
  • Ability to document and analyze requirements and create/update BRDs.
  • Low-intermediate SQL skills and ability to execute SQL queries.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3-5 years of formal training in Project Management.
  • Experience working with complex, highly technical teams.
  • Familiarity with JIRA and Power BI.
  • Certification as a Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or similar.
