About the position

The Sr Analyst, Change Initiatives Governance position at CIBC is pivotal in supporting the change and implementation requirements for the Combined US Operations (CUSO). This role is responsible for overseeing governance documentation and providing advisory services on change management standards across various initiatives within CUSO. The Governance Sr Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all change initiatives align with enterprise policies and standards, thereby facilitating effective governance oversight. In this role, the analyst will develop and maintain policies, standards, and procedures that support governance and change management requirements. This includes managing and tracking any exceptions or violations of policies and standards, ensuring adherence to governing documents, and continuously identifying enhancements to the change initiative framework. The analyst will also partner with the training delivery team to provide guidance on curriculum and materials development, ensuring that all stakeholders are well-informed and equipped to implement changes effectively. The position requires a comprehensive understanding of enterprise requirements and involves liaising with the Enterprise PMO to maintain accurate documentation for CUSO. The analyst will also be responsible for maintaining change management processes and templates, as well as the team SharePoint site. By driving communication and coordination across stakeholders, the Governance Sr Analyst will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of compliance and continuous improvement within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain policies, standards, and procedures to support governance, change, and implementation requirements for the CUSO portfolio of initiatives.
  • Support the management and tracking of policy and standards exceptions or violations.
  • Ensure adherence to governing documents while identifying and driving enhancements to the change initiative framework.
  • Partner with the training delivery team to provide guidance and support for curriculum and materials development.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to determine necessary changes in change management standards and documentation requirements.
  • Advise initiative teams on change management standards and expectations to ensure consistency and adherence to governance requirements.
  • Maintain a full understanding of Enterprise requirements and liaise with the Enterprise PMO to maintain CUSO documentation.
  • Maintain change management processes and templates for initiatives across the CUSO.
  • Maintain the team SharePoint site.
  • Drive adoption through communication and coordination across stakeholders and cross-functional partners.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in financial services and/or consulting supporting governance and policy management.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience in policy development, change management, project and program management.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a strong sense of accountability and urgency.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to synthesize information and communicate effectively to varying audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong MS Office and SharePoint skills.
  • Proactive with intellectual curiosity and a bias towards action.
  • Results-driven, comfortable working with ambiguity and competing priorities.
