About the position

The Senior Analyst Charter Catering Operations at United Airlines is responsible for overseeing and directing catering operations for assigned hubs and charter clients. This role involves managing budgets, pricing, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure safe and reliable catering services. The analyst will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders to meet regulatory requirements and enhance customer satisfaction while driving cost savings and operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and direction to assigned hubs and external customers to ensure safe and reliable catering operations.
  • Lead budget and pricing management, cost savings initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with internal stakeholders including Network Planning, Inflight, Flight Ops, and Food Safety, as well as external stakeholders like catering vendors and technology partners.
  • Manage planning, execution, and communication of all aspects of catering for assigned charter clients, including menu planning and logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (FAA, FDA, etc.) and food safety standards.
  • Analyze market pricing and negotiate agreements for onboard products to achieve cost savings.
  • Develop and maintain forecasting models to evaluate product usage and equipment logistics.
  • Train Inflight Charter Coordinators (ICCs) on catering-related duties and technology to ensure quality execution and client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • 2+ years of analysis or Charter-related experience.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation).
  • Proficient in Word and advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Proficient in data analysis.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently with limited direction.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions and client requirements.
  • Ability to anticipate client and operational challenges and create effective alternative plans.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business management, Airline Operations, or Supply Chain Management.
  • HACCP, PCQI or equivalent food safety certification.
  • Inflight Qualification.
  • 1+ years of Catering Operations experience.
  • Vendor management experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Salesforce experience.
