About the position

The Sr. Analyst, Data & Analytics role at A Place for Mom involves working with large and complex datasets to analyze and interpret data, perform variance investigations, and conduct root cause analyses. The position aims to drive business decision-making through statistical techniques and reporting based on business needs. The ideal candidate will leverage their analytical skills to transform data into actionable insights, supporting cross-functional stakeholders and identifying opportunities for business growth.

Responsibilities

• Perform deep-dive data analyses to identify patterns and uncover opportunities.
• Provide data analysis support for cross-functional stakeholders and conduct root cause analysis for variance explanation.
• Work on opportunity sizing and hypothesis testing to evaluate trade-offs in different approaches.
• Support ad hoc data pull, analysis, and reporting requests to deliver synthesized insights to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Data Science, or Data Analytics.
• 5+ years of experience in a data/analytics role.
• Strong experience in SQL and advanced Excel skills.
• Proficiency in A/B testing and knowledge of Bayesian and frequentist statistics.
• Experience with data exploration, visualization, and reporting tools such as Tableau.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with BigQuery, Google Analytics, Segment, Amplitude, and Databricks.
