Join one of the nation's most comprehensive academic medical centers, UChicago Medicine, as a Senior Analyst, Data and Analytics in our Data Science and Analytics department. This is a remote, work from home opportunity and you may be based outside of the greater Chicagoland area. The ideal Senior Analyst is a key member of the Data and Analytics team. You are responsible for developing and maintaining analytic deliverables including dashboards, crosswalks, scorecards, reports, and databases. Additionally, you will establish and maintain data exchange activities between payer partners, technology vendors, and UChicago Medicine. This role involves working directly with our internal support teams (IT, business development, and stakeholders) and associated vendors for data management and IT solutions, assisting with a range of innovative analytic opportunities. Essential job functions include data pre-processing, where you will manipulate data from source systems to define rules for reporting, including cleansing of data and datasets necessary for the creation of data marts. You will also be involved in report development, collaborating with report sponsors to meet the needs and specifications of reporting requests, and creating complex reporting suites that provide insight for the purpose of action and improvement. As a mentor, you will guide analysts within the team and across the organization regarding report writing and development best practices, providing validation for data queries and report outputs, and offering constructive feedback in a professional manner. You will be responsible for creating measures for reporting purposes, defining populations, setting organization targets, and leading projects to completion while working with interdisciplinary teams. Maintaining an appropriate portfolio of work, updating reports and queries to match the most appropriate specifications and versions of technology available, and developing rules necessary to diagnose the health and stability of system-wide reports and measures are also key responsibilities. You will analyze trends, identify patterns, and develop data-driven recommendations to improve clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, and patient satisfaction, along with performing ad-hoc analysis and other duties as assigned.
