About the position

As a Senior Data Insights Analyst on the Fraud Protection team at Spectrum, you will play a critical role in analyzing, designing, and implementing strategies to prevent, detect, and manage fraud within the organization. Your responsibilities will include leveraging existing data sources and creating new analysis methods to extract meaningful information from data, providing the business with actionable recommendations to drive outcomes. You will be part of a team that conducts in-depth investigations to find and eliminate different types of fraud, ensuring customer information is kept safe and enhancing the exceptional services and experiences that Spectrum is known for. In this role, you will analyze current fraud detection strategies and processes to identify gaps and areas for improvement, as well as develop new strategies to prevent, detect, and reduce fraudulent activities. You will be responsible for providing metrics definition, data visualizations, and Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) requirements. Your work will involve extracting, cleaning, and engineering data for analysis, interpreting data, formulating hypotheses, and developing an analytical approach to meet business requirements. You will utilize advanced visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, and Excel to create reports for customers, and you will obtain new reference data sources required to deliver on business needs. Your ability to communicate results and make recommendations through data visualization and presentations will be key to your success. You will create analyses and dashboards that are usable, elegant, and industry-leading. This position requires a self-starter with demonstrated leadership abilities who enjoys analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data in-depth. Responsibilities

  • Analyze current fraud detection strategies and processes to identify gaps and areas of improvement.

Requirements

  • 5 years or more experience within a platform/data analysis environment.
  • 5 years or more experience in a customer-facing, product & services environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated in-depth proficiency of advanced analytics processes and reporting design principles.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in SQL, Python, or R.
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure.
  • Demonstrated proficiency of design and implementation practices within data visualization tools.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
