About the position

The Sr. Analyst, Data Management Operations at Daiichi Sankyo plays a crucial role in supporting the ongoing production of Commercial and R&D IT systems and applications. This position requires close collaboration with regional DSI IT teams to ensure the smooth operation of analytic dashboards, databases, applications, and integrations that support both Commercial and R&D needs. The individual will be responsible for the technical design, development, testing, debugging, deployment, and management of operational production activities, ensuring scalability and maintainability of the systems in place. The role demands hands-on experience with various integration tools such as Azure Data Factory and Informatica IICS, as well as enterprise scheduling/orchestration tools like Tidal Enterprise Schedule. The analyst will independently investigate and debug data and technical issues, working alongside Daiichi Sankyo IT staff, sourcing partners, and data stewards to provide effective tactical and strategic solutions. In addition to operational responsibilities, the analyst will oversee the administration of enterprise job schedulers, Managed File Transfer solutions, and Business Intelligence dashboards. They will manage service provider activities, monitor production environments, and ensure compliance with service levels. The position also involves collaborating with development teams to enhance existing reports and dashboards, prioritizing team activities, and managing the quality of deliverables. Furthermore, the analyst will serve as a primary point of contact for various operational issues, ensuring effective communication and problem resolution across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for operational activities in the Commercial space including Transparency Reporting Solutions, Customer Master Integrations, Data Exchange, and Dashboards.
  • Manage operational activities in the R&D space including clinical trial management systems, drug labeling, and learning management systems.
  • Administer enterprise job scheduler, Managed File Transfer, Business Intelligence, dashboards, and database environments.
  • Manage service provider activities to identify availability and performance issues with outsourced and internal solutions.
  • Monitor production and non-production environments, help desk incidents, and ensure closure per service levels and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with development teams to build new Business Intelligence reports and dashboards, enhancing existing reports and dashboards supporting R&D functions.
  • Oversee the support and operations of production reports, ensuring quality deliverables.
  • Supervise outsourced administration, development, operations, and support activities for the DSI Managed File Transfer solution.
  • Provide second and third level support for operational issues, serving as the primary contact for Commercial areas.
  • Support internal business departments, data stewards, and sourcing partners with capacity planning, problem management, and operational support for data exchange and integration.
  • Monitor vendor Service Level Agreements and notify management of any breaches, ensuring corrective actions are taken.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4 or more years of hands-on experience with cloud-based Data Integration tools (Azure Data Factory, Informatica IICS or equivalent).
  • 4 or more years of hands-on experience with enterprise job scheduler/orchestration tools (Tidal Enterprise Schedule or equivalent).
  • 4 or more years of hands-on experience with enterprise Managed File Transfer tool (Cleo Harmony or equivalent).
  • 4 or more years of hands-on experience with MS SQL Server DB, Azure SQL DB, and SQL DB Managed Instance.
  • 4 or more years of experience with Business Intelligence and dashboard design and support preferred.
  • Ability to understand and analyze existing systems and provide quick solutions to resolve issues and meet new requirements preferred.
  • 4 or more years of pharmaceutical experience preferred.
  • 2 or more years of hands-on experience working with Java preferred.
