About the position

The Sr. Analyst, Data Management at Comcast plays a crucial role in transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. This position involves analyzing trends, interpreting complex data, and collaborating cross-functionally to influence key business decisions. The analyst will utilize various data sources to develop models, optimize business processes, and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Work with business leaders and stakeholders to understand data and analysis needs and develop technical requirements.
  • Determine relevancy of data and identify alternative data sources as needed to ensure analytics requested by business stakeholders can be completed.
  • Analyze large, complex data to determine actionable business insights using self-service analytics and reporting tools.
  • Query disparate big data platforms such as Teradata, SQL Server, Hadoop, and AWS.
  • Combine data as needed from disparate data sources to complete analysis.
  • Identify key business drivers and insights by conducting exploratory data analysis and hypothesis testing.
  • Develop forecasting models to predict sales, demand and other key business metrics.
  • Analyze the results of campaigns, offers or initiatives to measure their effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Communicate findings clearly and concisely through narrative-driven presentations and effective data visualizations to Company executives and decision-makers.
  • Promote and evangelize a culture of excellence, data-driven discussions, healthy skepticism, intellectual curiosity, knowledge sharing, and teamwork.
  • Stay current with emerging trends in analytics, statistics, and machine learning and apply them to business challenges.
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in SQL
  • 3+ years of Data Management experience, including data profiling
  • Working experience with tools including Teradata, MinIO, DataLinks & AWS
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with data storytelling
  • Knowledge of data analytics techniques
