About the position

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Lincoln Financial, you will play a crucial role in implementing and managing continuous integration and deployment solutions for applications across various technical platforms. This position requires a collaborative approach, working closely with delivery teams and software engineers to implement enterprise DevOps solutions. Your responsibilities will include enabling best practices, automating and streamlining operations and processes, and troubleshooting issues within various environments. You will be expected to work with DevOps methodologies, particularly focusing on Continuous Integration and Continuous Testing using tools such as Git, Artifactory, Selenium, and deployment tools like SonarQube, Fortify, and Jmeter. Additionally, you will utilize Docker containers and orchestration tools like Kubernetes, primarily focusing on technology enablement for the operational model and addressing end-user issues. In this role, you will maintain knowledge of current and emerging developments and trends in your area of responsibility, assessing their impact and collaborating with senior management to incorporate these trends into current and future solutions. You will direct and enhance organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and departmental or enterprise initiatives. Identifying and directing the implementation of process improvements that significantly enhance quality across the team, department, or business unit will be a key responsibility. As a subject matter expert, you will provide guidance on complex assignments and projects, helping to build and enhance the capabilities of your assigned area. You will create scalable enterprise pipelines that can be reused across application teams, enabling Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD). Your role will also involve developing and leveraging tools to support infrastructure development, software development, and delivery automation to improve IT services. You will act as a lead technical resource to ensure the completion of development tasks and advocate for continuous improvement and delivery to enhance business processes. Proactively identifying problems and developing complex solutions will be essential, as will effective communication with internal stakeholders and management.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage continuous integration and deployment solutions for applications across various technical platforms.

  • Provide subject matter expertise to team members and stakeholders on complex assignments/projects.
  • Create scalable enterprise pipelines that enable Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD).
  • Develop and leverage tools in support of infrastructure development and automation to improve IT services.
  • Act as a lead technical resource to ensure completion of development tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and management.

Requirements

  • Experience with DevOps methodologies, specifically around Continuous Integration and Continuous Testing using Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, Selenium, deploy tools, SonarQube, Fortify, and Jmeter.
  • Proficiency in working with AWS and Docker applications.
  • Experience with Selenium and Yaml scripting; Bash, Perl, and Python scripting experience is a plus.
  • Ability to implement, manage, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines and tools.
  • Experience in providing technical enablement, guidance, and mentorship to IT end-users.
  • Ability to document and design various processes and update existing processes.
