About the position

The Sr. Analyst, Diner Pricing role at Grubhub is focused on developing, testing, evaluating, and implementing pricing strategies to optimize business outcomes and enhance customer retention. This position is part of the Growth team and reports to the Manager of Diner Pricing. The analyst will have end-to-end ownership of projects, influencing strategic decisions across various functional areas including Finance, Product, Engineering, and Loyalty. The role requires strong quantitative skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a capacity to operate in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, experiment, and execute pricing strategies to optimize diner revenue and profitability.
  • Partner with Logistics, Loyalty, Product, and Finance teams to align pricing strategies with organizational performance targets.
  • Communicate portfolio revenue performance and highlight opportunities to influence leadership decisions.
  • Utilize data-driven business judgment to prioritize marketing, pricing, and product investments.
  • Innovate analytic capabilities to drive actionable consumer insights through improved reporting and data management.
  • Support decision-making with quantitative analysis and conceptual problem-solving insights.
  • Align stakeholders on priorities and manage the execution of price changes.
  • Drive integrated thinking to balance short-term goals with long-term strategic objectives.
  • Own the end-to-end process of identifying and implementing changes to improve workflows.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience driving revenue outcomes in a data-driven organization.
  • Ability to synthesize complex analysis into actionable insights.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills for influencing various functional groups.
  • Experience working in unstructured or uncertain environments.
  • Strong self-management and prioritization skills.
  • Deep experience with A/B testing methodologies.
  • Advanced skills in SQL and Tableau.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Business, Finance, Statistics, Math, Science).

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in business, STEM, or other quantitative field.
  • Experience with multi-sided marketplaces.
  • Knowledge of Pricing and/or Revenue Management systems.
