About the position

As a Senior Analyst in Financial Planning & Analysis at CVS Health, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the company's strategic initiatives and ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting requirements. This position involves collaborating with various internal and external partners to develop new reporting and analytic insights that will help identify and track strategic business opportunities. You will also be responsible for creating regulatory reports specifically for the State of Illinois, which is crucial for maintaining compliance and transparency in operations. Your role will require you to conduct regular and ad-hoc analyses that provide executive management with the necessary data to make informed business decisions. This includes sizing the financial impact of various projects and initiatives, performing return on investment (ROI) analyses, validating data, and preparing regulatory reports. You will engage in various ad-hoc projects that span multiple departments, including service operations, medical management, medical economics, and compliance. The ability to communicate findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders is essential for success in this role. In this fast-paced environment, you will need to meet deadlines while managing competing priorities effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities will be vital as you work with large datasets from multiple sources. Your collaboration and communication skills will be key in navigating cross-functional teams and ensuring that business needs are met efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Lead analyst for Scorable Action Items (SAIs) - sizing, validation, reporting, tracking progress
  • Regulatory Reporting (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual)
  • Ad Hoc data analytics and reporting
  • Vendor Performance/Support
  • Monthly FP&A reporting to ABHIL CEO, Central Division CEO, and Medicaid CEO

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience working in a data warehouse environment (utilization metrics and/or claims experience)
  • 3+ years of SQL experience
  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent years of related experience

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Medicaid health insurance
  • Healthcare datasets, healthcare analysis, and/or health economics
  • KPIs: /1,000 metrics, ALOS, Unit Cost, MBR
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and motivation to continue to use various solutions.
