About the position

The Sr. Analyst, FP&A at Coach is responsible for preparing and analyzing financial forecasts, specifically focusing on Gross Margin across various business units. This role involves collaboration with global business partners to understand key assumptions affecting margin forecasts, supporting the month-end close process, and providing strategic insights to enhance profitability. The analyst will also engage in reporting and analysis to support inventory management and strategic planning efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare rolling 12-month Gross Margin forecasts on a channel level for each Business Unit and analyze actuals versus forecast and prior year.
  • Communicate with business partners globally within Finance, Inventory, Merchandise Planning and Supply Chain to understand key assumptions affecting current margin forecast.
  • Support Global Coach Brand consolidation process for month-end close and communicate results to Tapestry Senior Management.
  • Run and distribute weekly margin analysis reports highlighting business results, as well as any risks and opportunities to ensure Brand is achieving margin/profitability/turn goals.
  • Partner with Business Units to develop strategic solutions in situations where we are trending below plan.
  • Adhoc reporting to support inventory management and BU finance teams.
  • Analyze product plans to understand future category assortment and product strategies of all Coach Channels and assess the impact these will have on financial margin.
  • Assist in strategic planning process through development and analysis of annual operating plan and long-range plans each year.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or other related field
  • 2+ years of experience, with retail finance experience being a plus
  • Strong skills in data manipulation and development of dynamic financial models
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable interacting with all levels of the company
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn new things
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Working knowledge of Microstrategy and SAP a plus.
