About the position

At CVS Health, we are committed to delivering enhanced human-centric health care, and as a Senior Analyst in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), you will play a crucial role in this mission. Your primary responsibility will be to manage outstanding balances and perform collection activities to increase cash flow. This client-based position requires you to work closely with contracted clients to resolve outstanding balances in a timely manner. You will be responsible for researching and evaluating balances, connecting with clients, presenting information, preparing reports, and supporting cash posting activities. In this role, you will review outstanding balances from monthly reports and connect with clients via email or phone to provide additional information such as statements or invoices. You will need to be detailed, organized, and self-motivated to complete tasks within service level agreement timelines, while also alerting management as needed. Supporting cash posting will involve reaching out to clients to obtain necessary payment backup. You will identify and coordinate appropriate collection activities with account management, the Business Support Team, Sales Support, IT, and other departments to resolve open balances. Your ability to evaluate and present client issues and potential risks to management during monthly calls will be essential. You will perform research when issues are identified by clients or the cash posting department and educate clients on invoicing and payment options as needed. Collaboration with internal departments such as account management and business support will be key to providing information to clients or resolving issues that prevent timely payments. As a subject matter expert on your book of business, you will demonstrate a positive personality and build rapport with employees at all levels, from front-line staff to executives. Your proactive approach and personal energy will be vital in increasing timely collections and resolving issues effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Review outstanding balances from the monthly reports.
  • Connect with clients on the outstanding balances via email or phone and provide additional information as needed like statements or invoices.
  • Be detailed, organized, and self-motivated to complete tasks within service level agreement timelines and alert management as needed.
  • Support cash posting by reaching out to clients to get the payment backup needed.
  • Identify and coordinate the appropriate collection activities with account management, Business Support Team, Sales Support, IT, etc. to resolve the open balances.
  • Evaluate and present client issues and potential risks to manager and leaders during monthly calls.
  • Perform research when issues are identified by clients or cash posting department or account management.
  • Educate clients on invoicing and payment options and process as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal departments like account management, business support, etc. to provide information to the client or to resolve issues which is stopping the client from paying the invoices.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on the book of business you are responsible for.
  • Demonstrate a positive personality and ability to build rapport with all levels of employees from front-line to executive.
  • Be proactive to go the extra mile to deliver on commitments.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in collection activities.
  • Must be organized, detailed, consistent, and hold themselves and others accountable to reasonably meet customer's expectations.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills; advanced technical skills using PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Microsoft Teams, and presenting information in meetings.
