About the position

The Sr Analyst-FP&A position at Verizon focuses on supporting the Home Internet portfolio, including 5G Home Internet and Fios. This role is part of a comprehensive effort to enhance the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization, aiming to streamline processes and improve systems while fostering personal and professional growth. The analyst will act as a business partner, providing insights and recommendations that drive business growth and support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Support Verizon's Home Internet portfolio including 5G Home Internet and Fios.
  • Provide additional research and analysis for monthly reporting and business plans.
  • Create drafts of ad-hoc analyses for business clients.
  • Finalize monthly analyses of business trends and budget variances for management reviews.
  • Perform research to enhance business case analysis for pricing and investment decisions.
  • Incorporate financial data into capital models/templates for capital planning.
  • Draft cash flow statements and identify issues/patterns with recommendations.
  • Conduct initial strategic business analyses and communicate findings.
  • Identify and communicate possible scenarios, risks, and opportunities for business performance reviews.
  • Build and update profitability/costing models and analyze economic drivers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • Understanding of corporate financial planning, reporting & analysis, and costing/profitability methodologies.
  • Knowledge of common business and cost drivers, financial statement analysis, and deep-dive analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
