The Sr Analyst, Healthcare Analytics role at Molina Healthcare involves performing in-depth research and analysis of complex healthcare claims, pharmacy, and lab data.   • Perform research and analysis of complex healthcare claims data, pharmacy data, and lab data.
  • Evaluate, write, and present healthcare utilization and cost containment reports.
  • Develop ad-hoc reports using SQL programming and other analytic tools.
  • Generate and distribute standard reports on schedule using SQL, Excel, and other reporting software.
  • Create new databases and reporting tools based on project specifications.
  • Collect and document report/programming requirements from requestors.
  • Coordinate activities and data collection with internal departments or external requestors.
  • Identify and complete report enhancements/fixes; modify reports in response to approved change requests.
  • Analyze data sets and trends for anomalies, outliers, and opportunities using statistical tools.
  • Create comprehensive workflows for the production and distribution of assigned reports.
  • Assist with research, development, and completion of special projects as requested.
  • Maintain SharePoint Sites as needed.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, or Computer Science.
  • 5-7 years of increasingly complex database and data management responsibilities.
  • 5-7 years of experience in quantifying, measuring, and analyzing financial/performance management metrics.
  • Demonstrated healthcare experience in quantifying, measuring, and analyzing financial and utilization metrics of healthcare.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Math, or Computer Science (preferred).
  • Experience in Medical Economics and strong knowledge of performance indicators.
  • Experience as a Healthcare Analyst I or Financial/Accounting Analyst I.
  • Familiarity with multiple data systems and models.
  • Experience with BI tools.
