About the position

The Senior Analyst, HEDIS/Quality Reporting at Molina Healthcare plays a crucial role in overseeing and implementing healthcare quality improvement initiatives. This position involves data collection, reporting, and monitoring key performance metrics, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and supporting NCQA accreditation surveys. The analyst will lead projects, develop reports, and collaborate with various departments to enhance data analytics and streamline quality improvement processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and provide reports and cost-benefit analysis tools to meet Quality Improvement (QI) requirements.
  • Act as a lead analyst to provide direction and guidance for other analysts within the department.
  • Develop, code, run, and prepare formatted reports for key performance measurement activities, including HEDIS and state-based measure reporting.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on reports prior to completion.
  • Establish and document quality assurance process checks to ensure report integrity and validity.
  • Prioritize reports according to business needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with department leads to understand and document business requirements for reporting.
  • Produce accurate reports and conduct analyses according to project timelines.
  • Convert HEDIS data sources for use in reporting as needed.
  • Assist with generation of state-specific performance measurement requirements.
  • Research performance measurement outliers when requested.
  • Use industry-standard techniques to reduce report writing errors and modify reports as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 3 years of experience in healthcare or equivalent experience in a non-financial regulated industry.
  • 1 year of experience in managed healthcare or equivalent.
  • Technical experience in reporting and/or programming.
  • Proficiency with Excel and Visio, and ability to learn new information systems and software programs.
  • Proficiency with data manipulation and interpretation.
  • Knowledge of basic statistics.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree or higher in a clinical field, IT, Public Health, or Healthcare.
  • HEDIS reporting or collection experience.
  • CAHPS improvement experience.
  • 1+ years in managed healthcare non-financial reporting.
  • 1+ years health care information systems experience or as an IS liaison for QI projects.
  • State QI experience.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Project management and team building experience.
  • Experience developing performance measures that support business objectives.
  • Experience using multiple programming languages, including SQL/SSRS.
