About the position

The Litigation and Risk Management Sr. Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting both Litigation attorneys and Risk Management team members at Evoqua Water Technologies. Reporting directly to the VP, Chief Counsel, Litigation, Employment and Risk Management, this position requires a blend of creativity, analytical prowess, and strong communication skills. This role is integral to the management of legal and risk-related tasks, ensuring that the company navigates its litigation and risk management responsibilities effectively. In the realm of litigation, the Sr. Analyst will engage in various support activities, including document review, production, and fact investigation. They will be responsible for preparing legal hold tracking via email and utilizing CounselLink for matter management, which involves data entry and report preparation for monthly meetings with Segment Presidents. The role also encompasses managing subpoena responses, which includes the collection and review of documents, drafting responses, and ensuring the redaction of sensitive information. Additionally, the analyst will handle asbestos matters, analyzing and preparing tender letters while tracking the status of ongoing litigation. On the risk management side, the Sr. Analyst will support insurance renewal projects, which involve collecting and analyzing exposure data, preparing market presentations, and maintaining current and archived insurance policies. They will also assist with monthly claim payment reconciliations and manage the Risk Management intranet portal. The role requires conducting internal risk management training and processing claims and premium invoices as needed. This multifaceted position offers opportunities to collaborate with various disciplines within Xylem, including Finance, Operations, and Human Resources, making it essential for the candidate to work independently and show initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Litigation Support - includes document review, production, fact investigation, and preparing legal hold tracking via email and Counsel Link.
  • CounselLink Matter Management - includes updates, data entry, and preparation of reports for monthly meetings with Segment Presidents.
  • Management of Subpoena Responses - includes receipt of service, document collection, review and drafting of responses to subpoenas, including the redaction of personal sensitive information.
  • Intake of and substantive review of Asbestos Matters - includes receipt of service, analyzing and preparing tender letters, and tracking the status of the litigation.
  • Support Litigation Counsel with Legal Spend Budgets - includes approval under the DoA (Delegation of Authority) from the business and management, quarterly updates from law firms for forecasting, and approval in CounselLink.
  • Document management and recordkeeping - includes organization and maintenance of corporate records and other documents and ability to access, inventory and search records.
  • Support all insurance renewal projects, including exposure collection and analysis; assist in the preparation of market presentations and other marketing information.
  • Maintain complete current and archived insurance policies.
  • Prepare and maintain current schedules of insurance.
  • Assist with monthly claim payment reconciliations.
  • Manage and maintain the Risk Management intranet portal.
  • Assist in reporting, analysis and compliance requirements as needed.
  • Assist/conduct internal risk management training as needed.
  • Process claims and premium invoices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience supporting attorneys and/or internal customers in litigation, risk management or other comparable experience, reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Basic understanding of insurance coverage and terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including customer service.
  • Ability to maximize use of databases, analyze data and create useful reports and tools.
  • Experience with litigation technology applications.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Resourceful in solving problems.
  • Change management skills to support change and new initiatives.
  • Adept in managing multiple projects under deadlines with changing priorities.
  • Strong PC skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Must work well in both independent and team environments.
