About the position

The Sr Analyst-Merchandising Operations role is a critical position within the Merchandising Operations team, focusing on advanced consulting and addressing challenges in various functional areas. This role supports the assigned line of business and encompasses key areas such as Vendor/Item Onboarding, Reporting, Operational Services, Product Content, Data Governance, and Tech Enablement. The Sr Analyst will be responsible for interpreting data, conducting higher-level analysis, and storytelling through data insights, particularly utilizing consumer segmentation and Microsoft data analytics tools like Vendor DART. In this position, building relationships is essential. The Sr Analyst will promote cooperation and teamwork, leveraging strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain trust and credibility with leaders and team members. Effective communication is vital, as the analyst will address challenges and issues within their area, deliver internal training, and create content to support the team. The role also involves issue resolution, where the Sr Analyst may tackle more complex problems and drive their resolution. Training and development are key components, as the analyst will work with leaders to identify needs and develop solutions for the functional area. Reporting responsibilities include gathering and analyzing data to translate it into actionable insights, while process improvement initiatives will focus on identifying opportunities and designing effective solutions. As a subject matter expert, the Sr Analyst will gather customer data, manage project timelines, and liaise with international partners on complex issues. The role emphasizes merchandising and vendor engagement, ensuring that strategic and complex vendor issues are addressed effectively. The analyst will also create usage standards and guidelines to track data quality and applicability, test and implement technology solutions, and onboard new users on best practices for merchandising information systems.

Responsibilities

  • Handle interpretation and higher-level analysis of data, utilizing consumer segmentation and Microsoft data analytics tools.

  • Work with leaders to identify training needs and develop solutions for the functional area.
  • Gather and analyze data to translate it into actionable insights and reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and help design solutions.
  • Gather customer data and act as a Subject Matter Expert for integration and overall system issues.
  • Provide customer feedback and manage project timelines for own projects.
  • Liaise with international partners on complex issues.
  • Focus on strategic vendor engagement and ensure master level issues are addressed.
  • Create usage standards, guidelines, and statements of direction for data quality and applicability.
  • Test, implement, and support technology solutions to ensure efficiency and business continuity.
  • Use relevant data and customer feedback to develop and drive solutions for internal customers.
  • Onboard and train new users on best practices and system updates for merchandising information systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • 4 years of relevant business experience.
  • Experience in structuring and writing formal documents, developing and delivering group presentations, project planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Understanding of performance measures and financial systems and reporting.

Nice-to-haves
