About the position

The Senior Operations Business Analyst at The Home Depot plays a crucial role in leading small to medium subsets of larger projects and initiatives, as well as individual processes that add value to the organization. This position requires a high level of analytical ability to dissect various components of complex problems and derive conclusions through quantitative skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading project teams, effectively communicating with team members and other leaders, and reviewing and interpreting sales and financial data to identify trends within the business and the retail industry. In this role, the Senior Operations Business Analyst will lead teams of analysts and associates, performing essential data gathering tasks and synthesizing information to develop actionable solutions. They will engage in project and strategy planning, utilizing data to inform decisions. The analyst will also be responsible for producing documentation for team and leadership review, as well as delivering presentations to both teams and executive leaders. Continuous self-development and building team knowledge, along with understanding customer needs, are key aspects of this position. The role requires strong leadership skills, analytical capabilities, and effective communication to ensure that projects are executed successfully and that the team is aligned with the company's objectives. The Senior Operations Business Analyst will typically report to the Store Operations Process Manager or Store Operations Business Manager, and while there are no direct reports, the role involves leading a work group, assigning and reviewing work, and contributing to performance appraisals without engaging in hiring or disciplinary actions.

Requirements

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field of study related to the job.

Nice-to-haves

  • A Master's Degree is preferred.
  • 5 years of work experience is preferred.
