About the position

The Senior Analyst, Operations Finance will play a crucial role in supporting the preparation of financial forecasts, conducting financial analysis, and providing essential periodic financial information and solutions to aid the Texture and Healthful Segment in achieving its strategic and business objectives. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of financial operations and the ability to analyze and interpret data to inform decision-making processes. The analyst will be responsible for consolidating global operations data for the Texture and Healthful Segment, evaluating monthly, quarterly, and annual results against forecasts, and identifying gaps in key performance indicators (KPIs) while highlighting risks and opportunities. In addition to these core responsibilities, the Senior Analyst will support the development of targets for annual budgets and periodic forecasts, preparing detailed reports for management review that relate to raw materials and manufacturing expenses. The role involves providing necessary financial data to facilitate day-to-day operations and long-term decision-making for segment management. The analyst will also work on special projects focused on accounting, financial analysis, forecasting, or reporting as required, demonstrating the ability to adapt to dynamic changes and propose constructive solutions that enhance business performance. Building and maintaining effective working relationships with both internal and external customers is essential for facilitating informed decision-making. The Senior Analyst will support manufacturing plants with financial partnerships to improve fixed manufacturing cost forecasting and assist in the preparation, review, and analysis of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, particularly emphasizing fixed cost analysis. The role also includes managing the planning process for manufacturing expenses, supply chain costs, and purchased finished goods, ensuring alignment with periodic financial forecasts for the T&HS Segment. The analyst will harmonize data, KPIs, and processes to benchmark costs across regions and support the development of new and streamlined processes to deliver value-added information to stakeholders. Keeping abreast of business developments to assess financial impacts and prepare ad hoc analyses for the executive team is also a key aspect of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the consolidation of T&HS global operations data and evaluate monthly, quarterly, and annual results against forecasts identifying gaps in KPIs and highlighting risk and opportunities.
  • Support the development of targets for annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual segment forecasting and budgeting reports for management review related to raw materials and manufacturing expenses.
  • Provide necessary financial data to support and facilitate the day-to-day operations and long-term decision making of segment management.
  • Support improving global consistency for financial analysis techniques and financial reports for Manufacturing Expense.
  • Work on special projects focused on accounting, financial analysis, financial forecasting, or financial reporting as required.
  • Identify areas that can be improved and constructively propose new solutions that increase value and improve business performance.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external customers that will help facilitate effective decision making.
  • Support manufacturing plants with finance partnership for improved fixed manufacturing cost forecasting and all areas of the SAP related planning processes.
  • Assist in the preparation, review, and analysis of annual budgets and periodic forecasts with an emphasis in fixed cost analysis while supporting the development of the regional operations finance reporting packages.
  • Support the preparation of the necessary financial data to support the day-to-day operations and long-term decision making of the division's operational management team.
  • Support evaluations and prepare recommendations to reduce Warehousing and Distributions costs globally.
  • Manage the planning process for manufacturing expense, supply chain costs, and purchased finished goods for T&HS US/CAN in support of periodic financial forecasts for FP&A for T&HS Segment.
  • Support the development of new and streamline existing processes and systems as required to ensure more efficient delivery of value-add information to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or MBA is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, accounting, or auditing, preferably at a public company.
  • Ability to analyze financial results and assess financial/strategic impacts of business decisions.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills, able to convey information clearly to all levels of the organization.
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge in the use of Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan & coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Dedicated team player with an innovative mindset to develop and implement internal process improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
  • Embrace changes and are open to new ideas and approaches.
  • Working knowledge of cash flow, balance sheet and income statement analysis, and budgeting process.
  • Experience working with SAP, SAP BW, SAP BPS/BI-IP and BPC strongly preferred.
