About the position

The Sr Analyst, Pricing Solutions role focuses on optimizing revenue generation through advanced pricing strategies and tools. This project-based position requires strong analytical and coding skills, particularly in SQL, SAS, and Tableau, along with deep experience in airline pricing. The analyst will support pricing teams across various entities, streamline processes, and develop automation tools to enhance pricing capabilities and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Support pricing analysts across four Revenue Management Pricing Entities (Domestic, Trans-Atlantic, Trans-Pacific, or Latin).
  • Understand specific processes and business rules for each entity and build tools to reduce complexity.
  • Streamline processes and reduce Domestic/International Pricing seams.
  • Enable new pricing capabilities while designing sustainable implementation mechanics.
  • Design, build, and maintain pricing automation tools and processes using SAS/SQL/Tableau.
  • Collaborate with IT and external vendors to test and implement enhancements to pricing tools.
  • Analyze software requirements, constraints, interfaces, and dependencies.
  • Organize and form the future pricing role by building tools/reports that enhance analytical capabilities.
  • Partner with other teams to develop new processes that cross entities and build solutions for new pricing capabilities.
  • Work with pricing teams to implement large system-wide actions impacting thousands of markets.
  • Develop dynamic reports and tools to help analysts and executive leadership understand pricing trends and their revenue impact.
  • Recommend strategic and tactical business actions based on post-mortem analysis of prior initiatives.
  • Identify and proactively address key business needs and issues, either analytical or technical.
  • Deliver ad-hoc projects for various stakeholders with short timelines.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate detailed analysis effectively.
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity, initiative, and drive.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Aptitude for data analysis/manipulation and interest in coding.
  • High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with airline economic concepts.
  • Familiarity with pricing logic and systems (AirPrice, ATPCO, DL Term).
  • Strong proficiency with Excel.
  • Experience with Tableau.
  • Previous work experience with large scale data analysis, ideally using SQL and/or SAS.
