About the position

The Senior Analyst, SEO at Carter's Inc. is responsible for driving the SEO strategy and execution for digital platforms in the U.S. and Canada. This role is crucial for enhancing organic traffic and ensuring alignment across various business units. The position requires a blend of strategic planning, operational excellence, and collaboration, reporting directly to the Director of SEO.

Responsibilities

  • Support Implementation of SEO Roadmap
  • Drive the delivery of key strategies and processes that enhance search visibility
  • Monitor progress, identify challenges, and ensure timely execution of initiatives
  • Conduct in-depth keyword research and competitor analysis
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop SEO-driven content strategies
  • Regularly assess the website for technical issues and prioritize necessary fixes
  • Optimize page elements to enhance relevancy and user experience
  • Analyze and improve site speed and mobile usability
  • Use tools like Google Analytics and Search Console to track organic traffic
  • Generate comprehensive reports on SEO performance
  • Examine data to understand user intent and behavior patterns
  • Work with marketing, product, and IT teams to ensure alignment on SEO initiatives
  • Develop and implement effective link-building strategies
  • Continuously educate oneself on SEO trends and emerging technologies

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a collaborative role with a strong understanding of SEO
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in building relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
  • Naturally curious and eager to learn about new SEO trends and technologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to influence
  • Energetic self-starter with a proactive approach

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Moz)
  • Experience in content management systems and understanding of HTML/JS
  • Strong prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Understanding of SEO best practices specific to e-commerce platforms
  • Knowledge of conducting A/B tests to evaluate the effectiveness of SEO strategies
