As a member of the Network Operations team, the Senior Analyst - Workforce Management & Business Operations plays a crucial role in optimizing workforce management and business operations processes. This position is designed to enhance financial and operational performance while achieving strategic goals related to workforce management, patient placement, staffing, patient transfers, and hospital throughput. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for overseeing the configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of workforce management and business operations applications. Additionally, this role includes providing training and support to end-users, acting as an expert resource to offer guidance and support in various initiatives. The Senior Analyst will conduct financial reporting and analysis, which involves analyzing and researching current and proposed workforce management initiatives. This includes planning, developing, and implementing workforce management programs and initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders. The role requires the development of a variety of standard, ad-hoc, and customized reports, working with large datasets to identify trends and patterns that inform conclusions and recommendations for future efforts. In terms of data display and reporting, the Senior Analyst will develop and maintain comprehensive reports and informatics programs to support senior leadership. Monitoring key performance indicators related to staffing, productivity, labor costs, and operational performance is essential. The analyst will identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement, presenting actionable data that includes retrospective analysis, forecasting, and trend analysis to assist management in informed decision-making. Collaboration is key in this role, as the Senior Analyst will work closely with department leaders to forecast staffing needs based on patient volume, seasonal trends, and other operational factors. The development and implementation of strategies to optimize workforce deployment and reduce premium pay and contract labor utilization will be a significant focus. The analyst will provide key support to Service Line Leaders and perform ad-hoc analyses, offering feasible recommendations for improvements based on data interpretation. Furthermore, the role involves communication and collaboration with other departments to manage day-to-day project aspects, identify necessary resources, and choose efficient methods for data extraction and analysis. The Senior Analyst will also lead or participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving operational effectiveness and collaborate with Finance and department leaders to develop departmental labor budgets.
