About the position

The Sr Analytics Engineer will be responsible for the development and deployment of physics-based analytics related to turbofan engines, which will be integrated into processes and products that drive business and customer decisions. This role requires a strong leadership presence, as the engineer will communicate business goals, programs, and processes for specific business segments. The individual must possess the expertise to solve complex problems and will be expected to develop and execute objectives for themselves and their team. The position has the potential to influence both short-term and long-term business goals, making it a critical role within the organization. In this position, the Sr Analytics Engineer will develop analytic models aimed at enhancing productivity, addressing field issues, and improving the predictability of engine removals. The engineer will also advance the state-of-the-art in physics-based analytics and data science, ensuring that analytics and environmental impacts are incorporated into engine testing. This will help improve the understanding of how design changes affect durability expectations in the field. The role involves executing analyses and evaluations of assigned projects with limited guidance, ensuring that all work meets business standards, practices, and product requirements. The engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, and evaluation of both individual and team projects, applying sound engineering principles throughout the process. Additionally, the Sr Analytics Engineer will provide technical leadership to personnel and cross-functional teams, implement plans to meet technical requirements, and develop action plans to address issues as they arise. Participation in organizational initiatives and the documentation of technical data generated for projects will also be key responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop analytic models to drive productivity, support field issues, and improve engine removal predictability.
  • Further the state-of-the-art in physics-based analytics and data science.
  • Incorporate analytics and environmental impacts within engine testing to improve understanding of design change impacts and fielded durability expectations.
  • Execute the analysis/evaluation of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices, and procedures.
  • Design, analyze, or evaluate assigned individual and team projects using sound engineering principles.
  • Provide technical leadership to personnel and cross-functional teams supporting the assigned project.
  • Implement plans to meet technical requirements of assigned components and systems.
  • Develop action plans to respond to issues/problems with guidance.
  • Lead or participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues.
  • Recommend approaches to meet technical and program requirements with guidance.
  • Participate and present in technical and program reviews.
  • Ensure proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects and/or tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in data analytics/digital technology.
