About the position

GlobalLogic is seeking a skilled Android Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing Android applications that are available in the Play Store. You will work with technologies such as Gradle, Android Studio, JAVA, and Kotlin, and have a solid understanding of design patterns including MVC, MVVP, and Viper. Your role will involve consumer mobile application development, where you will contribute to the design and implementation of innovative solutions. In this position, you will be expected to have a good knowledge of the continuous deployment and integration process, and you will develop applications specifically for the Android platform. You will also share technical solutions and product ideas with the broader team through design reviews, code reviews, and collaborative brainstorming sessions. Your contributions will help shape our technology, algorithms, and products.

Responsibilities

• Develop applications for the Android platform
• Build mobile applications that utilize web-services (REST-based, JSON, Thrift, etc.)
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to technology and product development
• Share technical solutions and product ideas with the team through design and code reviews
• Utilize Agile Software Development methodologies in project work
• Use JIRA/Confluence for product development tracking
• Manage source control using Git

Requirements

• Experience in developing Android App(s) in the Play Store
• Proficiency with Gradle, Android Studio, JAVA, and Kotlin
• Knowledge of MVC, MVVP, and Viper design patterns
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Solid principles
• Good knowledge of the continuous deployment and integration process
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
