About the position

The Sr Android Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining Android applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness. This role requires expertise in various aspects of Android development, including RESTful API integration, CI/CD processes, and debugging post-production issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on attention to detail and a collaborative mindset, contributing to a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android applications with a focus on performance and responsiveness.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and ensure seamless communication between the app and backend services.
• Utilize Jet Pack Composition, Data Binding, and Live Data for efficient UI development.
• Implement CI/CD practices for streamlined development and deployment processes.
• Debug and resolve post-production deployment issues effectively.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Android App Development using Java and Kotlin.
• 7+ years of experience integrating RESTful APIs.
• 7+ years of experience writing unit and instrumented tests using Robolectric and Mockito AndroidX.
• Proficient with Android SDK and development tools.
• Expertise in MVVM Architecture and Dependency Injection.
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented and functional programming principles.
• Good understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with localization/internationalization of applications.
• Familiarity with security protocols in mobile applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
