About the position

The Sr. Android Developer role is focused on building and optimizing production-level software systems for Android applications. This position requires extensive experience in Android app development, performance engineering, and a solid understanding of mobile networking concepts. The developer will work in a hybrid model, spending three days a week onsite in Issaquah, WA, and will be responsible for reviewing code, optimizing applications, and utilizing cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize production-level Android applications.
• Review and optimize existing code for performance improvements.
• Utilize Android SDK and mobile networking tools effectively.
• Implement cloud services such as Firebase or AWS in applications.
• Develop user interfaces using Jetpack Compose and manage application architecture.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of experience in software development, specifically in Android.
• Expert knowledge of Android app development and performance engineering.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
• Experience with cloud services, particularly Firebase or AWS.
• Proficient in RESTful services and mobile networking concepts.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Coroutines (Sync/Async) in Android development.
• Familiarity with MVVM/MVI/MVP architectural patterns.
• Knowledge of Dagger for dependency injection.
• Experience with unit testing in Android applications.
• Understanding of migration from SQLite to ROOM.
